Now we're going to show you just what we can do for your LPs.
On our two sound gallery pages, we've provided examples of 8 track, cassette, and Vinyl LP transfer (including my old copy of Jethro Tull's A Passion Play) to demonstrate just what is possible when Vinylhaven transfers and restores the music off your records.
The sound samples on the left are taken from LPs that have been cleaned twice and transferred digitally without using our software filtration/restoration: in other words the economy transfer procedure.
The samples on the right are the identical music file, now digitally filtered, cleansed, and restored using computer software: in other words the standard transfer procedure.
So whether you choose the economy transfer option or the standard transfer option, your music is sure to sound great.

The Beach Boys Nearest Faraway Place from their 20/20 album (1969). Bruce Johnston wrote this
soothing and evocative instrumental. Last Cut on Side One. Simply gorgeous.
An LP I found back in the mid-1970s in the cut out bin of my local record store and have treasured ever
since.
Here is a tune off The Millenium's 1968 album Begin. This was one of the first albums ever recorded on 16
track. A great example of West Coast 'Sunshine Pop'. LP is in mint condition with surface noise conditions
typical of a 35 year old LP. There is Nothing More To Say .
Okay. Another genre--Bossa Nova. Claus Ogerman did the icy orchestrations. Those incomparable
Antonio Carlos Jobim melodies. Again an old LP liberated...er...borrowed from my parents record
collection.
Listen and experience 'saudade'!
And here we have some classical music: Gustav Mahler's 3rd Symphony in D Minor--a personal
favorite. This is the joyous choral bit that begins the 4th movement.
Magnificent (and metaphysical)!
Another genre--Soundtrack, this one by Jerry Goldsmith. I used to play this cut a LOT about 25 years
ago after a particularly agonizing break-up...in fact I played it over and over and over...but I digress!
'Love Theme' from Chinatown. This is just about as 'noir' as 'noir' gets!
Donovan's Atlantis. One of my favorites from when I was a kid even if it is a complete Hey Jude rip-off.
Just acoustic guitar, piano, voice some harp shadings and then WHAMMO...the Jeff Beck Group kicks
in and .... blub blub blub!
Eno's first solo record. This clip contains one of the most intense, stinkiest (and I mean that in a good
way) and down right coruscating electric guitar soloes in the history of Rock courtesy of King
Crimson's Robert Fripp.
Rose Petals, Incence & a Kitten by the Association. Jim Yester singing; Tommy Tedesco on guitar and
that gorgeous Association harmonizing. And a WHOLE LOT of surface noise and clicks and pops to
distract from this beautiful song...
What can Vinylhaven do to improve the sound quality on this lovely 1968 recording? Listen to these
clips and find out!
Tighten Up (another from 1968) was recorded using the CSG technology. Click here for an explanation
of the Haeco CSG process.
CSG or no CSG--you just can't suppress that rhythm guitar lick and HEY--Tighten up on the bass!
This is the acid test. My copy of Jethro Tull's A Passion Play which I purchased new back in 1975. Needless
to say it was a favorite of mine throughout Junior High and was in 'heavy rotation' on my old BSR turntable
until Elvis Costello and the Clash and the Ramones came along and changed everything...
Listen to the 2 samples here and you'll be amazed at the difference.
Roxy Music For Your Pleasure. Side 2 opener The Bogus Man. An LP that has always been a late night
favorite here at vinylhaven. Produced by John Anthony. Winner of the Grand Prix du Disque in 1973,
beating out Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. The Great Paul Thompson on drums.
A Message to Pretty from Love's eponymous debut LP March 1966. Rolling Stone described them as
"strange and sloppy Byrds".
Superb harmonica and singing and psychedelic strumming!
Just had to include the 'Main Title Theme from Barbarella'.
Jimmy Webb meets Arthur Lee meets Spanky & Our Gang meets Alexander Courage...and everyone
wins!
